Lahoud F. Lahoud brings a rich academic background with an M.A. in International Relations and a B.A. in Education from Saint Joseph University in Beirut. His commitment to comprehensive learning is further illustrated by his hands-on internships at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) in Beirut and the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Professional Career

Lahoud stepped into the realm of protocol in September 2008 with his appointment as Deputy Chief of Protocol, culminating in his current role as Chief of Protocol of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers since January 2017. He has perfected his skills in statecraft and diplomacy, effectively managing and organizing high-level engagements for the President and First Lady of Lebanon, including pivotal UN General Assembly sessions and Security Council meetings. His expertise has been instrumental in fostering cultural exchanges and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for the diplomatic community in Lebanon.

Training and Consultancy

A seasoned trainer and consultant, Lahoud has shared his deep knowledge of diplomacy, protocol, etiquette, and international relations through collaborations with UNITAR. His expertise has been sought after in an array of global settings, including France, the USA, the UAE, China, Belgium, Geneva, and Qatar, where he has contributed to various conferences, seminars, and training programs.

In recognition of his exceptional service and contributions, Lahoud has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards. These accolades include international honors such as the Officer of the French Order of Merit, the Pro Merito Melitensi from the Order of Malta, the Grand Officer of the Spanish Civil Merit, and the Grand Commander of the Greek Order of the Phoenix. His home country of Lebanon has also celebrated his achievements with the National Order of the Cedar at the commander grade, underscoring his significant impact on both national and international levels.
