Tarek El Mendelek

Early Career and Education

Tarek El Mendelek is a music industry executive specializing in artist management, A&R, music partnerships, and touring. He began his journey by organizing live shows in Beirut before moving to Los Angeles to study Music Business at UCLA.

Professional Experience

During his time in LA, Tarek secured an internship at Live Nation Entertainment, later becoming an Artist Manager at Grass Fed Music, managing a roster of rising artists, songwriters, and producers. He also independently managed electronic music producer Offrami, who has accumulated over 100M streams.

Music for Beirut and TikTok

Returning to Lebanon in 2020, Tarek co-created Music for Beirut, a global live-streamed concert benefiting the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon, supported by VICE’s NOISEY and Google. He then joined TikTok as a Label & Artist Partnerships Manager, working on projects with top-charting artists and labels.

Current Role at MDLBEAST Records

In 2023, Tarek joined Saudi Arabia’s MDLBEAST Records as a Talent and Product Manager, playing a key role in projects for artists across the SWANA region, including TUL8TE, Dafencii, Cosmicat, Nour, Bayou, Ahmed Basyoni, and Hussein Gamal. His contributions continue to shape the regional music scene, supporting emerging talent and innovative music ventures.
